The Story

Previous Next Wind & LightsLighting is everything in projects; it can cast shadows, hide them, or do both. So when we had the opportunity to shoot in a 360 whiteout room with the lovely Vanessa, we fucking jumped on it! NEU Appliance Outlet in Austin, Texas, was kind enough to let us use their inventory photo room for a fine art ballet shoot, and the experience was awesome.

Behind The Lens

I knew I wanted the flowing white sheet to play a role, so we did what anyone would do in that situation: we bought ourselves an electric leaf blower, because I mean… Why not? Using the Godox AD300 for keylight and the powerful wind of the Black & Decker leaf blower, we were able to create some really unique looks. Vanessa (who is a former ballerna by the way) did an incredible job on set. It’s always an honor to work with her, and our most sincere thank you goes out to her. She has played a pivotal role in a lot of our projects over the years.

The Vision

With the Blackmagic 6k Pro running in the background, we were able to capture some behind-the-scenes footage, but with a stationary camera filming unmanned, there's only so much you can capture.
