The Story
Poetry Rockstar & Fine Art ModelWe’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Kas The Poet on multiple projects now. From filming her breath-taking performances at poetry slams to photographing her fine art painting exhibits. She’s a natural on stage, so we offered to get her in front of the lens in a photo shoot environment, and she naturally obliged. (I mean, let's be honest, there's not much this woman CANT do!) We went out to our normal stomping ground by Belton Lake and got to work. It was a great experience that kept everyone laughing the entire time.
Behind The Lens
We started with our woods portion after hauling a big ass mirror out there, which I didn't mind at all. Then, made the hike to the lakeside, where Kas really showed off. She stepped in that water and owned that shit. Using the slowly dying light from the sun peaking over the horizon as our accent light and the Godox AD300 as our key, we were able to capture some truly powerful shots from a truly powerful woman.
